I found a good web site for this installation at madrussian.net. This installation was for a M3 [E46]. My question is my wiring the same as the M3., since it involves removing some pins in the wiring harness. I have a 2004,series 3 325i without a cd changer or nav system. I assume that it is a [E46] as well. Is this installation difficult and are there better kits out there other than BMW kit, that are better and fully compatible? Thank You.

Your 2004 325i is 100% BMW e46[bmwdance]

The installation (and wiring) of iPod interfece is gonna be the same in case of same model of radio (it just should have the MODE button to access the iPod afterwards). I'm sure you have the right radio in 2004 model e46. The MODE button appears in orig. BMW radios from 2002.

If is it difficult?? It depends upon your skills;) But I think you can do that by following above mentioned link-how to..

Better kits than orig. BMW? I don't think so. Maybe you can get some cheaper ones...
