iPod

Ok, I know the factory install for the iPod is for the newer e46's, but is there a way to install it in a 99? I have yet to run across anyone who has done so. I would just plug it into the car's cigarette lighter but I just found out they disconnected it when they installed my XM radio.

It's a solution for earlier models, and offers better integration (actually shows song data, etc. via your existing head unit). It's a bit squirrely with the BMW Navigation system though... but that shouldn't be an issue for you since you have a 1999 model.
