Rather than use an FM modulator with my iPod, I'd rather use some direct connection the stock radio in my '03 325i. Does anyone have a good suggestion for direct connection or wiring the thing direct to the radio? I want to do this to get the best possible sound quality from my MP3 device.

Thanks,
JSD

Just let him Christyles from E46toronto.ca referred you .

you'll be looking for the Denison Ice Link. Different setups available - docking cable, active cradle etc. And you can pretty much control everything via OEM HU without ever touching your Ipod. You'll also be able to see the song titles etc on the OEM HU.

Hope it helps.

I have the dension http://www.dension.com/main.htm on my 330i. It wires directly into the CD changer. It is quite simple to wire yourseld if you are a little handy. The sound is better than from the CD and you can have as many playlists as you want, a lot of the competition limit you to 6 playlists. It also charges the IPOD when the ignition is on.
The cost is $200 from best buy. You do have to buy an addition bracket if you want to dash mount it.

Boston, that navigation setup looks nice.

Can navigation be added later? Do they need to change the whole
dash to fit that larger screen?
