Is this a fuel line or fuel pump problem?

Last week when the weather got warm, I got a chance to wash my car.
I took time to check all tire pressure. I used one of those electric pump. For this, I had to start my engine.

While I was taking my car tire pressure, I heard this rumbling noise from somewhere under the car. It sounded like a fluid mixed with air rushing through a hose. (just imagine the noise of a garden hose when the valve is just opened). [???1]

For a moment, as with the garden hose I thought the noise would go away after some time, but the noise persists until I completed checking all my tires.

I drove the car around and back. The car runs normal. However, the noise is still there. I tried to ignore it for a few days, but it is still there. [werd]

Is that normal?

maybe its the fuel being transfered from from the left side of the gas tank to the right side there is a transfer hose in the tank because the tank is split and the pump is on the right side, the fuel on the left is pushed over to the right

I can't tell since it is hard to hear the noise from inside the car while driving. I have not tried it with the door open when car is stop. I will let you know if it does.

Think I know what your talking about if the sound I'm thinking about kinda sounds like air leaking out from somewhere, its the fuel pump. I heard this noise once while adding air to my tires, when I asked the dealer thats what I was told. Hope this helps.

I think so.

So, the dealer says that it is ok?
Why so loud?
I have own many cars (not BMW), but I have never heard such noise on other cars.

Yes its okay. Know what you mean its not a normal noise, almost sounds like something is leaking. Just to make sure you might want to take it by the dealer it shouldn't take long for them to check it out.
