XI 'sports package is'...
Seats, wheels and steering wheel. There is no sport suspension and the ride height is about .8 inch higher than non xi. My Audi salesguy, who I do trust, tells me this is because the front drive system runs right through the oil pan. The xi does seem to be an afterthought as compared to quattro. Still, as much as I'm loving the s4, BMW's road feel can't be duplicated. It's some kind of black magic....

I think even the wheels (tyres) aren't that sporty anyway. I think someone said that the wheels are all season so you don't get as much grip on the dry road. The same person said that the suspension is not the same as in i sports package, don't really remember about the ride height.

That's true, plus sport bumpers and sideskirts. But, as alluded to earlier, the wheels and tires are not the same as the "i" version of the sport package. You get all-seasons, 17" rims, and no-quite-as-low profile tires.
