i don´t know itop, but i do have the stock rain sensor. sometimes i like it, most times i want to get rid of it. with the rain sensor you have no chance of setting the whipers to a constant interval. that can be so enerving when the rain is not heavy enough to make the sensor work properly but also not light enough to stop it from going. what happens is a unexpected senseless whiping action that just kills my nerves every now and then. i would love to have a reagular whiper....

what does the itop thingy mean?

I understand that the computer can be programmed to disable the rain sensor, and it turns it into regular intermittent wipers.

Has anyone purchased the iTop with rain sensor from BAVAUTO.COM? I was wanting to know if it was worth the price and if so how difficult is it to install.

THANKS!
this could get really annoying if it doesnt work well

@andre, that´s true, but as long as it doesn´t rain i don´t remember my whipers behaviour. and as long as it does not remember me, I have no reason to see the dealer.

but i think i´ll have it done during the next inspection turn. could someone remind me? please?

A few months ago either ROUNDEL or Bimmer magazine did an article on it. I couldn't find the issue, but it wasn't too far back. I recall the guy saying it was easy to install and worked well. I think his only complaint was when he was sitting at a light, using the windshield washers, it would be activated! Kinda funny!!

[:p] too funny [clap] a good idea being destroyed by a cars manner to clean itself
