Just ordered my new 330i

Hey guys. Well I did it. I ordered my New BMW 330i. Sports package, premium package and cold weather package. [headbang] God I can wait till March. But I do have a quetion to all you long time BMW guys. I know my BMW comes with a aux cable for a Ipod. It will defeat the purpose to have to reach in the armrest everytime to change a song. Is there not some way I can hook my IPOD up to the pre wiring in the armrest for the cd changer? I know it can be done, but can it be done on the 2006 bmw? Please helps guys.

I just bought a $2.99 male-male AUX cable at Fry's. Seems this is the only way to do it. I plug it in the center console, and the AUX cable is very thin, so the lid to the console closes. I leave my IPOD in the center console cut out...you can see and control it from outside the console.

I don't know why the intergrated IPOD is not available on our 2006s. Must be some kind of software glitch like the 2004 Bluetooth issue.

I was just looking online. I found this system. Looks pretty cool. Maybe thats the real answer.

I can hook that into the CD changer plug in the armrest too. Maybe some others out here know or have comments on it.

I agree. Just took delivery of 330xi. The ipod sounds fantastic. I had to buy the male to male connector at radio shack. My old car charger was too tall to close the lid on the armrest compartment but they had a lower profile one at the Appe store. Only small problem is I can't get my audio selector steering wheel button to recognize the AUX input (Ipod). It goes from FM to Am and CD and then skips back to FM. Can this be fixed?
