It's finally over, the 325i from hell and all of it's problems are gone. [clap] [clap]
I dropped it off at the dealer with 8.5k miles so they can go and sell it as a CPO with a 100k warranty to someone else for $31-32k. [hihi]

I bargained the 330i (42k msrp) to $155 above invoice, and in exchange for buying the car I get out of the 325i at no charge. Anyway enough of the depressing past, I already have 64 miles on the 330i, only 1186 miles till I can take her to 6500rpm and hit 100+. [burnout]

I noticed the car has lowprofile eagle goodyears with "racey" rims and huge brake pads. Anyone know if the eagles are better than the michelins? What about potholes are the rims and tires sensitive, should I pay $400 for a tire/rim dealer warranty? afterall I am in NYC.

Anyhow aside from having to press the trunk button on the remote key 3 times to open the trunk she's perfect and a pleasure to drive in comparison to the 325i. [driving2]

Ricey rims? Didnt you buy the car new? I'm not aware of any BMW oem ricey rims. The non SP rims are pretty ugly but no at all ricey. And huge brake pads, do you mean rotors?

How are you liking the car so far?

I mean't racey... And yes the pads look huge compared to the ones on the 325i. So far I love the car, I just wish I could open the trunk with one press of the remote key button, not 3. Maybe I'll bring it to the attention of the dealer tomorrow, if they need to replace a major sensor I'll probably just bear with it. Nothings messing this one up! [chair]

Wow... what a story.

Regardless, welcome to 330 ownership. I'd be interested in your impression of the 3.0 I-6 vs. the 2.5L I-6 engine (since you now have experience with both). I test drove a 325Ci convertible but ultimately went for the 330Ci convertible. The engine is sweet. So's the sound of the exhaust.

Post some pics when you have a chance. And, again, welcome to the club!

Going back to the dealer to see what they say about the (press-trunk-button-3-times-on-remote-key) to open the trunk, and the the doors not locking automatically when I start driving.

Bmw 325i 7803 and Thief,

These sound like stuff they should have asked you before you took delivery. Didn't you guys fill out a sheet with how you want the car to behave? Meaning lock the doors when you hit 5 mph, daytime running lights, and that type of stuff?
