hey all...i just removed the visor sticker with goof off (which btw is EXCELLENT for removing scuff marks and stuff)....but now the spot's a little darker than the rest of the visor....it's not entirely visible but i would like to know how to get rid of it...i thought it was leftover adhesive but i used goof off again but nothing happened...and i don't think it's cuz of a dirty visor or anything since it's darker there than on the rest of the visor....any comments?

What you see is normal. Your visors have been exposed to UV and have discoloured over the years (based on your sig your car is 3 yrs old). The label actually protected the visor from UV to some degree, that's why that area would have a slightly different colour (probably closer to the original colour).

I took mine off with goof off also when the car was 3 months old. And mine STILL have a glossy looking area where the stickers were. I have tried everything to get rid of this. To me it looks like adhesive left behind but it is not as it will not come off no way no how.

Is this what you have? A glossy looking residue left behind?

mine doesn't really look glossy but it does look like it's adhesive that's left and not like it's the original color...of course i wouldn't really know since it's a three year old car but still....sorry...can't take any pix of it....but it's definitely not as noticeable as the sticker...i don't really mind it that much anymore...just remember to keep your windows open for as long as you can cuz that goof off makes your whole car smell like alcohol...i have like three fresheners going on now...

That's exactly what I have. I just peeled them off and haven't applied any cleaner yet. It doesn't really bother me too much because everything is black with my ZHP package. The passenger side sticker came off easily in one piece but the driver's side kept tearing in small pieces. However, the passenger side has the most glossy look which tells me the adhesive remained on the visor (which is why it came off so easily) whereas most of the adhesive came off on the driver's side with the sticker. It still looks better without those ridiculous stickers though.

I have tried to remove the gloss with more goof off (water and hydrocarbon based), orange oil cleaner, and maybe another I can't remember. None worked. I was going to try mineral spirits but got cold feet on that one. I am just living with it as I agree with you that it looks better than the stupid stickers. It is barely noticeable, no one knows it's there except me.

Let me know if you figure out how to get it off.
