Depends on how much time it will take and how much I have. The vast majority of the work has been and will be done by me. Its just certain things like the trailing arm bushings I might pay to have done. It would just be nice to drop off the car, get a loner, and pick it back up after work.

Hmmmm... this is interesting. For the last 17 years, I seldom work on my 325E except changing oil and filter every 5 to 10 K whenever I got around. Recently I have more ambition, and am thinking to restore the bimmer to the original glory. Damn....the bimmer han't have a hand car wash and wax job for at least 5 to 6 ago. [?|] [:o] Time to apply some TLC, starting replacing all bushing and suspension components, and next year to a face lift.

The dealer usually did the work in the past. They treated me nice and but I would rather work on her myself. At least I know I will do it right :)

Glad to know there are a few here do their own work. The reason I posted this thread was inflicted by my 14 year old son. I told him that I have been hanging out on BMW boards to see if I can learn a few things to bring the glory back to the bimmer. He was laughing and commenting that he did not know Bimmer owners fix their cars. [?|] [rolleyes] . I must apology for my boy's bad behavior. Although I have to admit, many owners only know how to wash car and change light bulb :D
