K&N air filters??

Has anyone replaced their stock air filter with a K&N air filter? I have a '04 330iPP and was wondering if it's worth replacing for any added performance- or for that matter, a little better gas milage. I currently only get 16.9 mpg. Any thoughts or experiences?

Wow, you have a heavy foot.

K&N will add a bit of better flow to the engine. If you take a look at your stock filter, besides the paper element it also has a layer of foam attached to it to keep the noise down - more restriction.

Yes, i changed mine with a k&n and it sounded great. haha it had a deep sound and increased a lil in performance. Not much, but worth 50 bucks.
