Ok, so the knocking coming from the back of my car has returned again. About a week ago it came back and I took it to the mechanic for an oil change. I asked him to take a look at that as well. He said it was the supports for the exhaust system which were indeed badly worn. He claimed that since it was almost torn and what not, it was causing it to knock against the car.
$30 bucks later, a couple supports are replaced and the knocking noise is gone.
Or so I thought.
It came back a couple days ago. It's hard to describe really. It's like someone literally taking a hammer and banging it on my car. Oddly enough, it doesn't effect the cars ride or what not and only makes the noise under acceleration. If I depress the gas pedal or reach a certain speed, it's gone.
I know I need to get my wheels aligned and that back left wheel seems to have a more angled stance than the right wheel. So I'm not sure if that's the cause. It's just annoying cos the shocks seems fine and looking under the car the mechanic and I are totally dumbfound as to what it may be. Anyone have an idea???
Help...
