I have 41,000 miles on my 2003 325i. The maintenance indicator says I have about 3,000 miles till the next maintenance. The warranty expires at 50,000 miles. Should I have the dealer check anything else at the last maintenance? Like something that might go just after the warranty expires?

I'd take it into an independent shop to look it over. Then have them write up anything that needs to be taken care of. They'll be more critical on the car then the dealership since the car is still under warranty. Then take the writeups to the dealer. This way, your educated on what your car needs and not just taking the dealer's word.

You might also have them change little stuff like wiper blades, any bulbs if out. Then get them to check you brake pads and rotters. I'm not sure about this if it is covered or not but you might want to think about belts, hoses and coolant replace break fluid. Just a thought good luck.
