My left drivers side parking light is out, i opened the hood and cant get to it, how do i get to it so i can change it. And aslo in my dash board where it shows the doors are open there is a red light symbol just like the green fog light symbol that is on, does that mean i have a light out?

I looked and and could not find the owners manaul, i have a 2002 330i sedan...
Go to the BMW website and click on owner circle and create a profile. Once you are inside you can download a PDF version of your owner’s manual. You will also find a lot more in there. Good luck....

You should be able to reach it by looking for the socket and popping it out of there with a twist, no?

And yes, the symbol is an indicator of that lamp being out.

Ha !!! I just figured out this very problem...

When you open the hood, right above the turn signal is an access hole. You have to insert a screwdriver (use the flat blade of the one in your trunk tool kit if you have it) into the access hole and push down on a clip at the extreme back of the light assembly. It's not apparent until you get the thing out, but the clip is a different color than the housing. Mine was grey and the mail headlamp housing is black.

You should hear a small click when it disengages... when that happens, simply pull the assembly forward and replace the bulb.

Mine seemed impossible at first, but painfully simple once I found the clip to push on.

Good luck!!
