lio and tranny levels

I recently changed all fluids on my daughters 1988 e30 and after checking levels I am about one half quart over on oil and a little over on tranny fluid. question is can this cause any damage and should I drain it down?

would't hurt to drain it down. I wouldn't drive it overfull.

When oil is overfilled it will foam and loose lubrication ability, Scott is correct drain them down a bit!
