little problems that suck!

i have a few problems with my 1999 323i:
- first i have a brake pad light in my dash is on and hasent gone off i took it a guy who works on bmw's and said the brakes were brand new. so whats going on? tonight i was driving around and i saw my left blinker light had gone out this has happend before i changed the bulb and it worked fine for a few weeks till tonight but now THE BRAKE PAD LIGHT IS OFF!!! WTF?!?! i have some under dash neons i think they may have wired them to a cable causing it to mess with all my dash instruments if anybody has any suggestions on whats going on or what to do that would help alot cause its getting anoying!!!
- Also i was wondering if anyone had any information on preformance upgrades for my type of car?

Hey man, your car is going on 7 years old. I'd say if that's the only problems you have, you are lucky. It could be a lot worse.

What?? My '87 is 19 years old and has 295,000 miles and doesn't have any problems anywhere near like this. The only issues with my car is that the transmission whines and the paint on the hood is crappy.

Was it doing this stuff before you had the neons installed?

The brake pad wear sensor wire should be replaced at the time the brake pad is replaced. If it hasn't been replaced (or is loose, etc.), it might account for your first problem.
