oh its not my car. 3 series are not well thought up in my opinion.
the only three i would consider buying would be a 99 M3 (E36) best 3 series ever made reguarless of what other people say. Well E36 Model period is the best three made.

We have no clue. but it looks like it started in the coil area don't you think in your opinion. Or maybe the secondary air pump. It is jsut too far gone to tell. BMW NA was there a while ago checking it out but we have no answers.

oh yes it is very funny. Everybody thinks BMWs are the best cars on the planet because they don't see these types of things. I will post the X5 we have later on tonight.

I have known hundreds of cars of different makes that have caught fire, how is one BMW catching fire a an example that BMW does not make the "best cars on the planet"? And like I use to ask my kids, who is "everyone", I certainly do not think that BMW makes the best car on the planet, but than again I get no joy in others misery.

Nobody thinks BMW's are the best cars on the planet because it depends how each and every person defines "best" when it comes to cars.

And yeah, you are not going to have a well thought up opinion of BMW if you go around looking for all the BMW car fire pictures that you can get your hands on.

what is hould have said was that every person that brings their cars in for some little rattle thinks their vehicle should never make any audible noise. WHICH IS CRAP. Sorry guys didn't try to start a fight here. I may come off as a dick but i can really help with some of your problems. I do work for a dealer ship and what i see i will let you guys know about it so you can watch out for. Once again I was not directing it in any direction. Sme people are just anal.

For the coils statement. I don't know if all of you that has an e46 but there is mandatory recall for the ignition coils. If they have not already been updated, if they have already been changed you are probably good to go.

What mandatory recall? I must have missed the notice...

Please stop your compulsive rambling, what you just said over the course of 10 posts could have been effectively summed up in one. For all you know someone could have started the engine and let it sit at 6500rpm for a few minutes.

um no becsue when the vehicle over heats to a certain temp the vehicle shuts off. And if you don't know about the mandatory recall and you want to be a dick about it then just wait for yor car to *#@% up and then pay for it.
And before you try and make assumption of what people do you should ask don't you think.
For instance the vehicle was traveling down the raod at normal speed with a 50 year old lady driving the car so i highly doubt that she was setting in her driveway hold the pedal to the floor. Know your car before you talk to me again dumbass. Do some reading I will rent my E46 complete vehicle book to you for about 50 dollars a day. No offense to you people who know these cars.

You people do not have to believe me if you don't want. Keep on truckin. I don't believe BMW calls up alldata when they bring out a recall. Try getin on dealerspeed.net
I would post the bulletin but hey who am i. I don't know anything.
