hi all , I tint my car 2 months ago and the back tint didnt really stick well to the dot matrix.. I took my car back to the tint dealer, they said that it was the best that they could do... I was wondering if someone in here could post some good tint pictures done on there back window so i can show the tint dealer...

thanks

I have the same problem with my tint and i think about 95% of tint jobs on BMW's have a problem with the dot matrix. If you can find a solution I'll be impressed, and will definitely take action on it.

I think there's still a link in my sig. It's all about the installer, not really the tint. I have Huper Optik and V-Kool. Both are supposed to be thicker than normal tint, and thus harder to install over the dot matrix. I have no problems with the dot matrix.

I have been thinking of tinting my windows and follows the threads. I noticed that my car windows do not have any dot-matix. E43 4-door sedan. The version of E46 in Singapore is very different from those I see in these threads. For example, I do not have the compartment to install universal transmitter. I also do not have the center compartment for alarm motion detector. You win some, you lose some.

How weird. I wouldn't imagine that BMW would change the windows used on cars in just one market. Are you sure you don't have any dot matrix? The sedans don't have as much as teh coupes. Check your front windshield. Mine only has like one or two rows of dots so it looks like there isn't dot matrix there even though there is. My side windows have a line 3 rows deep or so, but only one one edge of the window. It's not much, but it can still give a bad installer problems.
