loud engine noice??

I have a 04 325xi, just 900km. and I noticed some unusually high RPM on start , around 4K at peak. There is also a little bit high noise, I don't know if it 's normal or I should go to dealer to check it out. any advise is appreciated.

When you say "unusually high RPM on start , around 4K at peak" can you clarify that?

I think you are saying that you start the engine and it immediately revs to 4000 RPM? If so, that's VB (Very Bad). Definitely get it checked ASAP.

Yeah, that sig has been floating around in my head ever since I did the trip last April. I finally made some time a few nights ago, fired up PhotoShop and put it together. Thanks for compliment!
