haha, i was reading that list and thinking "nope, not a turbo, nope not a turbo, nope not a... ah, there it is"

glad to see u at least konw u need low comp pistons for FI [:D]

go here & read some of the turbo threads, then post any questions u have that haven't been covered... that's the best way to use E3S... i'm sure this'll be a good resource for ya - http://www.e30sport.net/viewforum.php?f=18

by the way, unless u go w/ a custom chip, it's gonna become useless w/ the turbo... chips almost always advance timing, & w/ a turbo, u really do'nt wanna do that... bad things happen [fake]

Ok, well Ive seen conforti chips go for as low as $35 on ebay so I might pick one up for times use. I don't plan on being able to afford a turbo for a good while, the list is just my plans from start to finsh on what I would like to do to my car. Thanks for the info, any other tips you can give on putting turbos on e30s? Thanks

I can help you, just send me a personal message or something. Cause I'm getting sick of this web board banter. The hardest part will be the exhaust manifold.

pick up an aftermarket engine management system, such as an electromotive, or a haltech. An electromotive, is alot cheaper than a haltech tho and jsut as effective.

Its tough running boost on a stock ECU.
even if it is chipped.

Because that chip will only give you a certain map to work with, no different than NOT chipping it, jsut as difficult.

with an aftermarket EMS, you have total control over your map, to not detonating your engine, and getting the best results.

yeah, the exhaust manifold is definitly gonna be the trickiest puzzle to solve if u don't wanna kill your bank & go find a place to make custom ones for ya... i think the 528td manifolds are close, but need customizing... and it also depends on what size turbo you're running... if it's a biggie, it may come in contact w/ the valve cover

and as always... i could be wrong [hihi]
