M steering wheel from dealer?

has anyone got their dealer to order a M leather steering wheel before?
i just ordered a 330 ci with the M performance package....ZHP for US i think, and i dont like the ALtarinc (dont know how to spell it) steering wheel, i opted for the leather but the steering wheel is still that seude material.
I ve searched the forum for the M leather steering wheel that usually comes with just the M package but not sure if i can get the dealer to do a stwich for me.

my car isnt goin to be here until end of June

I'd imagine you'd have to order it from your BMW dealer parts department. I would also imagine that it would be quite expensive.

By the way, it's spelled Alcantara.

They are real expensive. I have seen a few sell on eBay, but they too go for big bucks.

I want to replace the steering wheel on my zhp too. I called a dealership, the M3 Leather steering is US$380. They are not sure if I need a new airbag (I believe I don't since the ZHP comes with M3 style steering wheel), and they want me to bring the car over to confirm it. I haven't done that yet. Also they didn't tell me if they are going to charge labor and how much.

FWIW, the quote from my dealer: The steering wheel installed will run you $649.48. That includes parts, labor, and tax.
