M20 airflow meters

Is there anyone out there that knows what can be done to eliminate the standard airflow meter on the M20's ('88 325is) The standard unit is extremely restrictive and I am searching for a conversion to a different type of AFM of even a modification to allow a MAP sensor to be utilised without stuffing about with an aftermarket ECU- I'm currently runnig a chip in conjunction with all the usual suspects-exhaust/headers,Schrick cam, custom intake etc

There are a few companies who make MAF kits - like "Split second" but you're going to pay a ton of money for it.

Dosnt megasquirt do this? I think they are realitivly cheap, as far as this kinda shit goes.

I know of Megasquirt, they only produce a DIY EFI Controller unit.
epj3 was on the money with Split Seconds product line-that is exactly what I was looking for, but yeah....they do charge up the ass!
