First off... What is an M3 Dinan And an M3 CSL? What is the difference. Isn't the CSL more "hooked up" with less weight and more HP and all that good stuff? Also Do dealerships have this? Because when i trade in my 325i im hoping to get an M3, But better the CSL. Is there a big price difference? Thanks.

Ok I don't know much about either the CSL or the Dinan so someone plz correct me if i'm wrong. First off, the CSL version of the M3 is like a lighter version with more HP (more parts made of carbon fiber, all that good stuff etc.). The Dinan is a 'tuned' version which I'm pretty sure some dealers can install the parts. As for the CSL, i'm pretty sure you can only get it in Europe since North America won't allow it to be sold cuz of the carbon fiber roof.

CSL dos not have Carbon Fiber roof. It is the M3 GTR which has it.

CSL also doesn't have AC and many other electronic parts.

CSL is a Factory product where the Dinan S2-M3 is a regular M3 with Dinan modifications.

Dinan S2-M3 361hp and 282lb/ft torque.

I would go with the Dinan M3![thumb]

Once again... Where can i get the Dinan? Is there a special dealership or can i go to any BMW dealership? Also what is the price difference? Can it be leased or is it just simply a"tuned-one time thing" like an upgrade? Thanks.

www.dinanbmw.com
there is a list of "dinan certified" dealers there...
basically dinan is tuning company that did such
a god job, or paid off the right people, that BMW
now fully supports thier products, full warranty and
everything. kind of like neuspeed and vw, same
relationship. u'd have to buy a M3, then start buying
dinan parts for it. look to spend around 70,000 or more

I don't know much about the Dinan version, but the M3 CSL stands for "Coupe, Sport und Leichtbau (light built). " The roof is from carbonfiber and is approx. 6 kg / 13 pounds lighter than a regular M3 roof. I know that for sure because a friend of mine helped engineer it. It was one of the biggest goals of the project, get the center of gravity lower. The engine has 360 hp and the car weighs in totoal 1385 kg (3054 pounds). Tis means you do not get a radio, electrical windows and stuff like that. It has options like launch control, different compound brakes and I know Michelin developed a variant of the Pilot Sports especially for this car. According to the german BMW site, the prices in Germany are 55.000 euro for a regular M3 and 85.000 for the CSL.
