M50 Swap $3k engine

I found an engine, 5 speed, and all the ecu/wires for $3k

Good deal eh?

It comes from a 97 m3 and the guy dosnt know if its vanos or not, how do I find out? Were only specific years vanos or whats the deal with it.

First off its a s52 motor and yes its a vanos. Sounds like a really good deal. Most that I have seen on ebay are going for 5-7K.

Yeah Im pumped, jumping in head first we will see how the swap goes ahah, im looking at a 88 325is to put it in, its an auto, but if a pedal is easy to put in like xLibelle says ill give it a try.
