M50 Time possibly

Just for jokes I was looking on ebay for m3 engines and I stumbled across this

Normally I would be like ok sweet and just keep looking, but then I noticed that about a 2 hour drive from my house so I would not have to pay an outrageous shipping.

Whats this worth? Because I still would need a tranny and electronics

That what i was thinking. Im just not sure If i wanna jump in so soon lol.
1. I don't have a car for it yet
2. I think I am over simplifying the process to myself, Just unbolt old engine, bolt new one in, and swap electronics... hmm Im pretty sure its harder than that
3. I want it because its a good deal and I like going fast lol I WANT IT,

Would I need a new drive train though? Because Im wonder what parts i need besides the Engine, Tranny, ECU, and Wiring harnesses. Seems people wanna keep the parts info a secret to make me buy project orca. I don't wanna buy then see that i need a $1000 part I can't find.

You don't have to change the tranny or driveline. It is just recomended that you do for performance reasons. The electrical wiring is by far the most difficult bit. Try www.lukasbmw.com

I hear though if you use the m20 tranny its at a weird angle? Its not too much more for a m50 tranny so I think I will use that. As for electronics, I am very computer/electornic literate and I don' think its going to be a problem for me. I know about 9999999999999999999999999x more about computers and electrical than about car

That is Zionsville's project Orca. From what I hear they have a tednency to make stuff a lot more difficult that it actually is.
