Ordering a 330i with prem and sport pack, just can't decide on the black ( the truth can hardly tell the difference).

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I went jet black over metalic with my car. The metalic will have little speckles of silver-like color. It sparkles...but doesn't reflect like jet black where your wife will be able to put on her lipstick by looking in the hood of your car when it's clean.

I opted for the sapphire black (metallic) after looking at the two side by side, in a showroom (both are stunning) and under the Florida sun outdoors, where I liked the metallic a bit better. The sapphire is a bit more lively and some say it better hides dust. Frankly, having had 3 jet black cars, I was ready to get away from the funereal hue of pure black but reluctant to leave the stately appearance of black/dark.

This board is great, thanks for all the feedback. Nice pic Rubber Ducky, that thing is sweet. I am trying to work a deal with the dealership to allow me to take M Rims (like yours) and trade in the sport rims that come with the sport package. I would pay the difference, but so far no luck.

I'm sure you'll be happy with either one; they both look great. I went with sapphire black mainly because my previous two BMW's were jet black. Gotta mix it up a little...

I went with Black Sapphire metallic because I thought it would hide dust a tad better and because swirls (if I were to get any) wouldn't be as noticeable. The way I take care of this thing, I probably would have been ok with Jet Black but I am very happy with Sapphire!

You can't go wrong with either one. But if you want to spend the price of the metallic paint option ($475) on something else (like htd seats), go with jet black.

Blue,

I don't see any black on your car - you sure you didn't spray it with a mirror backing then and then spray a clear coat on top of that????

Looks NICE [cheers]

Now your gonna make me cry, I had to settle for Titanium Silver, in order to close my deal at the rates I wanted. Those of you with Titanium silver, got any comments for me???
