I like driving with the moon roof open, but the noise is very annoying. Would appreciate some recommendations for a quality wind deflector to quiet the noise, but must be conservative in appearance. thanks

I have the deflector on my 1989 325i and like it. I have not installed one on my 2004 330i and I don't know if I will. You can find them in the Bavarian Autosport catalog. They are also on line at www.bavauto.com. Other sites also offer them. The price is usually about $40 for the Benevento smoked plastic one. The Benevento has lasted me for years and it attaches with clips (no drilling required) and not adhesive as some do. By the way I used to live in Smithtown , Long Island before moving to Nevada 5 years ago.

The deflectors are typically held in place by two to four thin brackets. The bad news is that no matter how good the rubber gasket is, it will eventually leave permanent marks on the paint finish where the gasket contacts the body.

I went to Bavarian auto and saw their offerings. Three for my car. Not thrilled with the looks, and certainly do not want to mar the finish. Guess I'll just have to crank up the HK. thanks for the feedback
