I thought I had isolated the rattle when I tightened up the rear deck, but I guess not. I think I've isolated the rattle to the panel that is right above the rear deck -- the one that holds each of the back lights. Any body had this problem and found an easy fix??

I had that rattle in my 05 M3 coupe. It seems to come from the speaker/unit that holds the HK unit in the rear of the car behind the seats (parcel shelf).

If you do a search, some great people posted detailed, step by step instructions with pictures on trying to solve the problem. Good Luck!

I don't think it's coming from the shelf that holds the speakers. I did a DIY on that a couple weeks ago. It's tight now. I'm 99% sure it's coming from the the right rear panel that holds that rear rear passenger light. When I tap on it, it definitely feels and sounds as though it's not set properly as compared to the left side. I hate taking this in to the dealer since it's "piddly sh#t," but at the same time it should be right for how much we spend on these cars.
