I got a 1994 BMW 325i for cheep. It had a worn head gasket and some body damage. I am working on rebuilding the motor but I am also getting another motor for it. The motor im getting is out of an 525i betwen 93 and 95. Please let me know if that will fit or not. Also what kind of motor stand do i need to get so I can rebuild it out of the car before I put it in. I have a motor stand that works on chevys and fords but I don't think it will work on the BMW.

Fab up some plates to fit the bmw block to your chevy/ford engine stand.
you'll save alot of money rather than going out and purchasing a whole new engine stand that you prob will only use once.
my 2 cents.

You'll need to swap over the dipstick tube, the sump, and the engine mount brackets for a start, but its all straight forward.

Short answer - yes it will work, just have to swap a few bits over.
