[rolleyes] 2000 W 323i SE

posted about this before i know but i could live with getting in just the drivers door (as it has a lock on the door, unlike the other 3 doors)

Anyway ITS GOT WORSE:

Press unlock before a journey and it works fine, all doors unlock
Go on a journey, park up, lock the car (always locks fine, alarm sets too)
Come back to unlock, NO doors unlock - the courtesy lights DO come on and you can here a clicking noise as if it trying to open.

So then I press lock, courtesy lights go off, indicators blink, alarm sets -
Press unlock again in vain for it to unlock, and the same happens, NO doors unlock and the door pins stay down

Have to use the key to enter the car - which ONLY opens the drivers door, all other doors stay locked from inside and out

:(dont know what to do -

boot however opens perfectly EVERY time using that button on the key fob

It CANNOT be the key, as both are carried with me and both do the same, both are charged

TRIED reinitialising the keys like BMW do - does no good.

The c/locking button next to the hazard warning button has NO effect, it will always LOCK the doors but not UNLOCK

Sounds to me like a software problem with the lock control. You may have to get whatever module it is reprogrammed at the dealer. Sorry if I sound like a BMW service advisor. Seems like sometimes the non-volatile memory that holds the programs in the various modules is not so non-volatile after all. My X5 intermittently lost key memory which I had them reprogram multiple times under warranty. Now that warranty is over, it of course lost its settings and I live with it. Your prob is much worse and annoying than mine though.
