so i responded to an ad in the paper that said "1985 BMW 325M, $900"

ya don't worry, i was as confused as you are. "325m"?? wtf. ya, so i drove up there and it looks like some joker slapped an m badge on the back. it read "///M325e" so i go from hoping it's an M car to realizing it's just an e. anyhow, it idles rough (at best) while it's cold and then it evens out. seats are ripped to sh*t...glovebox is good (which i need) and it comes with 5 original bmw rims which are all in good condition (also, which i need). the rest is pretty much gonna be sold piece by piece. everything seems to work alright besides the engine =). owner says it's got a bad cam so i'm looking forward to taking the valve cover off. anyway, i got the car for 550, which isn't bad for a running bimmer. the fun starts saturday, i believe. i posted in the general classifieds if you're in the market for any parts. i can always be reached via email at ofwolfandman85@hotmail.com

ya, i got 5 nice rims out of it and the glove box. i tried taking out the auto sunrof (i have manual) cuz i wanted to switch them. as i started taking apart my car to see what i was equiped with, i gave up entirely. i didn't wanna take that whole panel off, and there was no visible ground or visible power source. plus i'd have to change that metal brace cuz they're built differently. i just decided to stick with the crank. one of my mottos is "if it isn't broken, don't fix it." incidentally, my other motto is "F*ck it."in anycase, besides the camshaft and the body, the car's in pretty damn good shape. i cleaned up the rear leather (mohogany or whatever the heck color it is) seats quite nicely. the front seats however, are trashed. three inch rips in both. but hey, at least they're semetrical. it also has the stock bmw tape/am/fm deck, and i called the local dealership today to obtain the code. if i didn't listen to so many CDs, i'd put it in mine in a half a second. we're starting the major project tomorrow, and taking apart the engine components one by one. wish us luck, i'll keep you guys posted (although no one seems very interested).
