NAV screen won't open

Over the weekend, the screen stopped opening so I can't access the CD drive. NAV, radio and trip computer all work fine, but I get a "CD error" message when I try to go CD mode. Thinking the little motor that flips the screen could be a goner. Glad my 15K maintenance service appointment is next week.

Anyone have this problem?

Haven't had this one yet. Although I rarely open the screen as I use the CD changer mostly.

Really strange one -- haven't run into this personally. Like BMWROCKS, I don't use the individual CD player very often... been relying on my iPod for music. You should swing by the dealer for a quick look.

Thanks for the feedback. Dealer will have the car on Monday so we'll see what's up. This is actually the first problem of any kind that I've had with the car since it was purchased in Oct. 2003, so I have no complaints.
