hey everyone, I need your input....I am pissed and don't know what is the truth or lies anymore....anyway here is the story...I purchased a new set of Maya STM's 19inch (polished lip) wheels a month ago.....I had my car detailed this weekend and when I came back one of the workers put some kind of wheel cleaner on the wheel (BUT USED FULL CONCENTRATE...instead of part water and solution)..the rims are white and haze and appears to be in the metal...they claim they can fix this and look brand new...but the rim dealer said that they will not look brand new and will take a long time to fix....What would you do?..any thoughts!!

The dealer may have told you that in the hope you would buy a new set so don't believe them just yet, if you get the cleaning place to fix the wheels, have a solicitor come up with a contract that binds them to agreeing to replace the wheels if they aren't fixed properly, that way you are covered in all events. The dealer may be right in what he says, but don't mistake his own business motives and objectives as honest advice, unless of course he/she is a friend of yours... even then you never know =S. Hope it helps, just a rough plan of what I would do in your situation.

I agree, have them sign a contract or at least some kind of paper admitting fault. Make sure you take plenty of pictures.

thanks for the advice so far........I did get a police report stating that they admitted to fault and I have some pics...I had another meeting with the guy yesterday and he claims he will replace the wheels....but wants time to find a cheaper price then want I purchased them for (I doubt he will).....I told him that I got them at wholesale....so I gave him until this Saturday [kick] .....also...I spoke to Maya wheels...they suggested having the hubs of the wheel chrome platted and living the centers polished since they did not get damaged because of the clear coat....has anyone sent rims out to be chrome platted?....please tell me your thoughts or experienced....I just dont want to get screwed in the end. [?|] ...paid too much for the wheels...thanks!!!!

I've had Niche chrome painted wheels before and what I don't like about them is over the years and things from the road hit them, eventually there are chrome pots and chips...........just my .02
