My 01 330xi is approaching 4 years old this March and I am looking to replace the battery soon but I am having a hard time locating one other than from BMW. Does anyone have a place to order them from that won't cost me $250.00?

Interstate batteries are very good and come with the vent kit for your battery. I replaced my X5 battery for around $100. I highly recommend Interstate. They very very likely have a battery for your car.

I prefer the batteries from AUtozone - only because they are from the same factory as the Diehard batteries and are cheaper and have more power. It's called the Duralast with 3yr free replacement and 7yr warranty ***640 COLD CRANKING AMPS (765 CRANKING AMPS)***
BATTERY MAY BE VENTED TO OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE

I replaced my BMW batteries with Delco's, vented, perfect fit, power and warranty. Do not use a Sear Diehard. I did and replaced it four times under warranty. We discovered that they are sold so rarely for BMW's that the ones on the shelves are already three to five years old. Got a refund and bought the Delco...no problems.

Just keep an eye out for fitment... About four years ago I was looking to replace the battery in my E36, and I could not find one that fit properly in the compartment... except of course for the real expensive one at the BMW dealer...

[thumb] Just a question... My car is six years old, I bought it in 1999. I have not yet replaced the battery. I have not had any problems with my battery and at every 30,000 mile Schedule I & II check up my Bimmer dude checks out my battery and it's still holding its charge just fine. I am just wondering why you are changing your battery. It is a four year thing or is your battery giving you trouble. Happy Motoring. [driving2]

I don't have any problems with it yet but I would like to find a place first before I need one since the car is 4 years old. My friends died at 4.5 years and he got stuck and had to get it from BMW and I think he spent almost $260.00 on it. It would be nice to have one lined up in case I do need one in the next year or so. I might even just order one without the acid and just stick it on my shelf, always good to be prepared.
I keep all sorts of stuff in the wings, tire plug kits, battery jumpers, etc. Have used all at one time or another and it has saved me a bundle. Keep spares in my car as well.
