Aloha guys , My wife's acura got stolen so I'm thinking of replacing it for me and giving her the 325ci. So there's a cherry 318is at her dads work that looks great .

1991 318is red (good paint just needs buffing)
5 speed
tan leather ( cherry condition)
a/c is cold
new michelins on clean BBS style rims
70k
no leaks or oil build up . looks great , test drove great . The best thing is I have access to all the maintanence records and the lady as done all the required maint.and no other problems during its schedule II .

The guy wants 6995. he's a small dealer working on consignment on this vehicle .

I've checked kelley blue book but they didn't have a value for a 91 just a retail price of 6915..any help would be great ..thanks in advance.

Yeah they found it up in Wiawa up in the mountains off on a dirt trail but the tow co. hasn't been able to get it for 4 days now . I think they're just lame because i got up there in a 2WD Isuzu truck . Its going to take awhile for any money from the insurance co. , no surprise there, and I'm tired of carpooling with the mrs. You know how it is , she's always saying " slow down honey " !!

Thanks for the reply . this thing is sweet .

I am not a big fan of "book" values. Few people take into consideration that the values reflected are "average" and not cast in stone. I for example have a 91 318is for sale with 140k on it. It also has numerous upgrades (though I know you seldom get your money back out of them) and is in excellent consition in and out. I am asking $5500.00. The NADA book value shows retail for the car just under 5k. KKB shows the value just over 3k. I think 7k for a 91 318is is high, but then again in Hawaii you have less choice and cars may retain more value. If your willing to pay prime price for the car then get it, they are great little cars!

I agree totally. For example...my 85 (euro-spec)323i cabrio is bluebooked at just over 3.5k, but, i had a dealership out here offer me 6k for it. They can be misleading at times. Either that, ot the dealership really wanted my car.

man this car is cool. I just drove it home. I couldn't wait. I paid 6500 for it. Pics soon to follow.

Oh, check this out , the lady that owned it was afederal judge!!We have 4 in the state . I went thru the records and the only problem she had was a slow clock and a blown fuse. WOW..Thats not bad. So I'm thinking that in 70k miles major things would've reared their ugly heads by now..Knock on wood.
Thanks for the input . I look forward to hanging out on the e30 boards

No doubt about it brah!!oh and by the way , what is pohno? Is it a german or Hawaiian reference. [scratch]

Well I'm definately having fun driving my " new " bimmer and spent 3 hrs using some paint rejuvinater on the oxidized paint. Came out so-so . I think a 2cd application should do the trick ..

Pohno is something my pop picked up somewhere, he's been all over. He said it's some kind of corrupted version of "little wave rider" or something like that. He's always using it when he tells me there's something i REALLY need to do. Figured it fit man. [bmwkick] [driving]

Sounds like a great little car. E46 to E30, ya don't see that transition much.

Your right mrferg , Its a blast though. Going to 4 cyl. and a 5 speed with 14 in wheels is a blast . I did the 2cd coat of paint rejuv and the red is brilliant to say the least . I picked up 4 bmw stickers to replace the faded hub centers . I thought they were roundels but just $6 stickers , oh well, nothings cheap at the dealership. My tach stopped working for some strange reason and I checked the fuses and found a 30 was blown so I replaced it but haven't check it yet ..

I still have the 325ci and the 318is . They are 2 different animals . Now I know why you guys love the e30's .lots of fun with a manual .. [cheers]
