Need Help Please

Hopefully got some attention,
Looking to buy a 2000/01 325/323ci. Need some buying tips PLEASE. I am not gettign from a dealer and the 3 that i have seen have about 86k KM on it. Suggestions would be greatly welcomed please. What do i look for and what can of test can i have done on it.

Bring an independent mechanic along with you (or drive it to one and have him check it out) and do a Carfax on it if possible.

Yeah, I echo the above comment... You need to call an independent BMW mechanic and take the car in for a full inspection to get an unbaised, professional certified opinion of this car. I only hope that you have not let your heart over-rule your head concerning this purchase. Listen to the guy or gal you pay for his or her advise. Only buy it if they give you a strong recommendation to do so. Keep in mind, however that the inspection will cost you some loot, but you will get what you pay for... That's my two and a half cents worth... [driving2]
