Hi guys! I'm currently debating purchasing a 1991 318i off my uncle for dirt cheap. It is in excellent condition and only has 80,000kms on the engine as well as a new tranny. It is white, 4 doors and is a 5spd. The interior looks brand spanking new.
I have been trying to research this vehicle but have not been having much luck. Basically, I want to know the car and engine specs as well as what performance mods I could do with this car. Everything I have found so far has been rather conflicting. This will be my little rear wheel drive project car, so I want to be able to have some fun with it.
For starters, if any of you could tell me the engine code for this car that would be great. What intakes and exhaust would work well? What is the wheel bolt pattern, size and offset? Which HID kit would fit this car? You get the idea. Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, just in case anybody is interested, I currently drive a 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS. It's a great little wagon with pretty good power (180hp and 130lb-ft torque at the crank) but it's an auto tranny. I love the practicality but now I'm itching for a fun, sporty little rear wheel drive toy to play with.
