Greetings everyone, just joined the BMW family. Bought a 2002 325i with Sports package and maintainance policy for 6/100miles for $20,000 even. Car has 41,000 miles. It is a clean car! I did some research in pricing but would love to hear your opinion as to the fairness in price paid.

Also, I would like to have the xenon hedalights. Is it possible to do so on a car that did not have them factory installed? How much would I be looking at and where can I get them? Are there OEM options for these type of headlights?

Thanks and will post some pics soon.

Welcome aboard, that seems like a fair price.

Yes its possible to have Xenon headlights on a Non-Xenon car. There are two options, 1. you can get an aftermarket Xenon conversion kit -OR 2. you can get a Xenon ready headlight housing.

www.bavauto.com carries the entire housing.

20k for a 4yr old car is a little high, i'd say 18k would have been a better price unless its a CPO... Anyhow enjoy your BMW.[thumb]

I would say you did good on your deal. Depending if it's a CPO and options it has, a 2002 325i can go as high as 27K. I got my 2002 325xi for 17K with same mileage as yours. It's not a CPO but it's clean and has all the options except for the sports package and navigation. I guess I got really lucky on my deal. Enjoy your new ride! [driving]

Thanks for the info on xenon lights guys/gals. Regarding the price, it is not a CPO but like I said it's clean and the maintainance policy was a selling point. Another selling point is that I only had to give (my brother) half the cost and gave me as long as I want to pay him the rest. Also, the car has the Sports and Premium package. What do you think?

Sounds OK especially with the maintenance policy. Aftermarket Xenons on BMWs have had a mixed review. Many BMWs have had problems while others were OK. Mike Miller, the tech advisor to Bimmer magazine does not recommend aftermarket conversion. He has written why in several of his Q & A columns. It is not a cheap conversion as you will probably find out.

Thank you all for the messages. No remose yet. In fact, I've realized that I probably will never drive anything else! This car feels very good. Love the engine growl so the main concern at this point is to not get a speeding ticket.
