I went to a BMW dealer the other day. He made me a deal on a car coming from Europe. base 330i with only a moonroof option for $33,890. Now, a few days later he calls and he says he can make the deal for a 1000 over his initial offer and he cant make the initial because of his "boss". Does anyone think i can make the initial deal still? or get a better one?

Tell the sales guy you have just sold your car and you are going to buy another this weeked, it is amazing how much they will work with you if they see a sale slipping away. Also if you are looking for a used car mention the words CarMax and the price will drop beacuse they know there prices are low to start with.
I bought a 330i, 2 yrs old, 24,000 miles for $27,900 from there. Sticker with all the options was $38,000

It isn't? Maybe not in all cases, I'm paying $155 over invoice for my 04 330i (42k msrp) and in the process getting out of my 03 325i lease...

Well you have to look at it this way. Since there is a 2400 incentive, the REAL invoice of the car drops by 2400 bucks, so if somone is paying invoice, or in your case 150 over invoice, thats *really* 2550 over invoice, which isnt that great. If you're saying theyre eating some negative equity on your current lease, that may equal out, but on a deal where theres no negative equity involved, paying invoice on a 330 right now would not be a very good deal. I would be looking for about 900 under invoice if I were buying right now (1500 over incentive invoice).

For what its worth, I've owned 2 330's and never been to the dealer for anything but maintenance. From what I've seen with BMW's, it's pretty much just the luck of the draw if you get one like what you had or one that never ever has trouble.

Yep no manual and no sports is because of NYC traffic and potholes. I figured BMW was luck of the draw, like you said either its perfect or its the opposite. I'll post pics if I can manage to shrink them to 50k, next to impossible on a 4.3mp camera.
