I had been looking for a used 325xi for a while, and ended up buying a 2001 330xi on Saturday. It was about the same price as most of the pre-owned 325xi's for sale around here, and with the extra horsepower, 17" wheels, Xenon headlamps, moonroof, heated seats and ski bag, I just had to buy it. It's a CPO with 74,000 kms, automatic, steel blue with sand leatherette interior. The car I'm replacing is a '95 Trans Am LT1, and although it isn't as powerful, I'm finding the 330xi much more enjoyable to drive. The handling is fantastic and the design and overall build quality are excellent. What I really love are all the nifty little features... the heated headlamp washers, the little flaps on the roof that hide the roof rack anchors, the way the windows and sunroof can be opened using the remote, etc. I'm making unnecessary trips to the grocery store just to make excuses to drive it. [rofl] I'll post a few pics when a get a chance. Now I just need to get the iPod hooked up. It's hard to back to CDs after having the iPod in the car for so long!

Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the useful information and advice. It was invaluable during my research and car shopping.

Congrats on the car, definitely post pics when you get a chance!

I like the grocery store comment because I can definitely relate to that, lol. You know you're obsessed when eventually you end up going for a drive with absolutely no destination at all. [:p]

Hey Delroy666, congrats.

Would it be possible to post the price paid, as I too am in the market for a 325xi (or 330 mind you) and am very curious as to what the current market price is for a used one.

Also, how's the AWD? Being a fellow Canuck, I know that your anxious to try those 4 wheels once the snow starts!

[cheers]

anvil, check your PM.

So far I can barely tell that the car is AWD, which is good - there's no noticeable torque steer or anything. I haven't done any crazy driving yet though. I had it out in the rain a few times and it felt very stable, probably due to the DSC also. My old car would be fishtailing all over if I took off from a stop like that in the rain. Or course, the main reason I got the xi was for the winter. As much as I like the summer, I am looking forward to trying it in the snow.

Beautiful ride! I have a 2002 steel blue 330 xi with the natural brown interior. (brown leather was not offered with the steel blue exterior, but my dealer agreed to order it that way, and voila, that is how the factory built it). You'll be very happy with the awd in the winter, it works great. Hope you discover some new roads!
