Hello All,
Quick Q for you. I was recently in an accident (Hit a dog) and I needed to have my bumper cover replaced. Previous to accident my bumper cover was totally smooth on the underside... Meaning Under the black grill and bottom lip if you reached your hand back it was smooth matching the rear bumper. I have noticed with the replacement bumper cover the lip under the grill is seems more sturdy and the underside is no longer smooth. It goes back about 5 inches and then stops. My paperwork says it was replaced OEM and I wanted to see if maybe anyone else had a similair experience. I was thinking maybe BMW made a mod and I got a newer one... Otherwise it looks great. I have a 2003 silver-gray metallic.
Let me know your thoughs....
PS I am calling the shop that did the repairs to question them as well... The shop I used does all of the work for my local BMW dealer.
Thanks,
-Carl
