New Buyer w/ Questions

Hey all,
I have been poking around this forum for a couple of days now and I guess I figured its time to post. I am in the process of finding the right 3 series BMW (either 2006 325xi or 2006 330i) and have a couple of questions.
1. I live in NJ and have reservations about not getting an all wheel drive vehicle because of potential bad handling in the winter. Can anyone give me some incite into the best course of action? My concern is whether or not driving will be safe with a couple of inches of snowfall (2-3) not 5 - 6 inches.
2. I am an XM Radio fan and am not willing to convert to SIRIUS Radio. What are my options and what will the cleanest looking option be?
3. I’m thinking about getting the I-Drive feature w/ Bluetooth. I am ALWAYS on the phone in that car and think it would be valuable. Any feedback on the quality of I-Drive?
4. Is there an option for remote start in the vehicle? I haven’t seen a price for this feature if it is available.
5. Do you think BMW will be running any promotions on the car that I should hold off for? ( low interest or Cash Back)

BMW is currently offering 1.9% on the e90, I don't recall ever seeing them offer anything better.

Scan down a little into this thread and you'll see the picture as well as written instructions on XM installation in a 3 series sedan.

I put this system in my wife's '05 325i and it works just fine.
