In response to requests ... and to keep us all updated ...

If you are still having issues, or if you are in the "Other" category, please post specifics and/or details to help others. Please provide dates if you have them.

There are some ignoramuses on another thread that seem to question the point in doing a poll. This poll is a followup poll that was actually suggested by couple of people to gauge the progress that has been made in resolution of the problem.

So ... how would this be of benefit to others? Let's suppose that you just brought your car in and the dealer says you need a replacement tranny to resolve the problem. By looking at the number of people who have had theirs replaced with no subsequent issues vs. the same type of number from the last poll, one can gain an understanding of how likely it is that a putting a replacement tranny in now will resolve the problem. You can also insist on a replacement tranny that was manufactured after a certain date which you could kind of draw a conclusion on based on the data in this poll. Let's suppose that you are trying to decide whether to press the dealer for a clutch pack replacement or a tranny replacement ... you could look at the results of these polls to make a decision on that.

These are just a few examples of where this could be helpful.

Those who enjoy helping others, or having others benefit from their experiences I'm sure will participate. There are others who choose to attack people who choose to help others and proceed in a constructive matter ... and who feel that the answer lies in going on the offensive against BMW. That's fine with me. Let's see what they come up with. It's a free country. I'd prefer to get the problem resolved. I just resent their attempts to attack and discourage others from participating in a poll that could very well help people.

Tranny replaced, doesn't seem to slip (Temp 50's+ NYC) however there is no more sport mode D and SD are the same and the acceleration seems slugglish along with a sound from the transmission.

Not to mention they apparantly put my engine back crooked and now my volume/cruise control controls don't work and handbrake has issues. On top of that they had to take the cake by scratching my car after they provided me with a problematic loaner that had a FLAT spare tire. All this courtesy of BMW of Manhattan.

Anyhow I am in the process of correcting this and will keep everyone updated.
