I've waited patiently. I can see my dealer's new car lot from the highway I take to work and into Chicago and they keep the cabrios in the same place. Yesterday, I saw a mystic blue with the top still wrapped--I was hopeful it was mine. Stopped there today and it is, so I took some preliminary pix. Shipped out on the boat May 17--I think it got here pretty fast. (I've uploaded the pix, but I don't see them in my preview, but I'm gonna post this anyway. Eventually, I'll figure it out or get help if they're not there.)

But it appears you got the sport steering wheel??
Coupes and converts come with the steering wheel stock I believe. Coupes even get the sport suspension stock. The Sport package basically just adds the sport seats, white turn signals, and 17inch wheels now. Still a good deal.

DrKeng... congratulations and welcome to the 330cic club -- you're going to love the 330's engine. ;-)

codex57... your comments are counter to what my dealer told me (and what the special packages area of BMWs website says). The sports package augments the already tight suspension with more sport tuning... also (as you mentioned) adds the sport seats, clear indicators and larger wheels (wider in rear). Anyone have the real scoop about the sports package / suspension?

Yes...congratulations. You will def. love your cic. Everyday I get in mine, I still get that rush that I got back in March when I first got it. That is a beautiful blue. Did you get the blue or black top? I like both....but the blue top looks so hot on blue, silver and white. I wanted the blue top on my silver 330cic...but it seems like BMW no longer offers the blue top on white and silver...which IMO is the coolest look on a cabrio...had brillant silver and a royal blue top on my 2000 SL500 :)

Anyway...congrats and Freude am Fahren!!!!! [driving2]

Got the black top at wife's request (enough talking her into the car). Dealer got a Mystic Blue M3 with the blue soft top and it's almost a perfect match--I would have preferred it, but the black will be ok. After all, I'm in the car, not looking at it. After one of the coldest springs in recent memory, it's getting hot here, so I'm really looking forward to the new wheels and having the top DOWN! It seems that soft tops to match other colors are becoming more common. I've seen green and dark red tops on Audi A4's.

Fanatic: I will probably miss the sport pkg some; I never drove one to see the difference; just drove an M3. Maybe on my 4 series...............................

www.bmwusa.com site has info on sport pkg, etc. Coupes and cabrios have sport suspensions to begin with compared with sedans. Sport adds "sport susp calibration" and Performance adds "more aggressively tuned sport susp". 330 has 17 inch wheels, but they're 205/50R. 18 inch wide tires are an option. Sport adds wider tires in front 17x7.5 (225/45R) and even wider tires in back 17x8.5 (245/45R). Perf adds 18 inch wheels with 8.o front, 8.5 rear; 225/40R-18 front and 225/35R-18. With some of the s**t I drive over (RR tracks, ...), I really didn't want the risk of larger wheels. Last year on the tollway I ran over what looked like a 4x4 at a relatively high speed. My current 16 inch wheel was damaged along with the tire, bleeding me of about $600-700 (I have tried to repress the amount, didn't seem worth claiming on insurance). I am going with the attitude that even a basic BMW handles better than just about everything else that's comparable otherwise.

If I still have anyone's attention, how do you get a picture in your post profile on the side???

Got the call. Planning to pick it up Saturday morning. Can only hope it's warm and sunny (it isn't now and isn't supposed to be tomorrow--bummer cuz I'm going to the Cubs game). I haven't told any of my friends about the new wheels, so I'm looking forward to their reaction when my steel blue turns mystic.

Salesman isn't sure if they have all the parts for the Sirius (may not be available from BMW). Anyone know anything about this?? It seems that some people have had the system dealer installed, so I wonder if he's BSing me.

Wonder if my remote will put down the top??

codex is right on the money. Coupes and convertibles come with sport steering wheel and sport suspension. It's just part of the more "sporty nature" of the coupes and convertibles and is one reason why they cost more than the sedans.

Congrats on the car!!! Take some more pics when you get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
