Check out Yokohama ES100. I had them put on my 323i sport package and they were sweet. Very affordable too. Michelin Pilots are great, but $$ and a bit noisy. Yoko's were pretty quiet, sticky, and definitely a good cost option. I since sold the car and only had them on for one season, so I can't tell you how long they'll hold up- but I think I'd buy them again when it comes time.

Get PIRELLI.
Pirelli's are way too expensive, just like Michelins. But neither offers the best performance. If you live in the dry area, get Kumho MX. Cheap and outgrip anything this side of the Bridgestone S-03's (the best you can buy).

ES100 are a decent street tire, but will get loud with wear. Dunlop SP9000 are not too bad either. Goodyear F1 DS-G3 are great, but they jacked up the prices this year.

Don't buy from your dealer, they rip you off. Get from TireRack or American/Discount Tire.
