Howdy all

Just found this board, very nice and technical, so i figured id sign up and join in the bmer fun!

Anyways, after a long struggle (especially on uni student wages) of getting my car upto speed, which included

new transmission [ohcrap]
replacment of suspension struts [:I]
untold number of minor fixes [paranoid]
oil line borkage

my car is now up to speed and is an absolute dream to drive (leaving all those commodore bastards in my dust!!) [headbang]

anyways now im just rambling

i live in melbourne, australia, and was wondering if any of the aussies on this board know where to find suppliers for the m3 style kit for the 1985 323i, as ive searched high and low, and have run into a dead end.
My cars due for a respray (pearl ferarri red) and i need to get the kit on before i can begin thinking about getting that done

Thanks in advance guys, looks like ive found a new home hehe

p.s Pics will be up later, gotto download photoshop [?|]

Heres the pics

apologize for the quality, VERY sunny outside (wooo summer is comming) and car needs a wash badly hehe

also, ive been looking to fit bigger wheels\rims onto my car, she currently has 16s on

However, i was told that if i move upto 17's, or 18's the wheels would be "gimbled" (words of my mechanic) i.e sitting out on angles, and this could damage my drivetrain? Sorry if im not making much sense, very much a car newb.

Hey mate welcome. Yeah that camera aint the best... But the car looks nice nontheless. I would check one of the BMW magazines that you see in the newsagent (i forget the names but they're along the lines of 'BMWPower' etc, etc.) as these ALWAYS have bodykit options in them.

Mark has big 17" rims on his car. He'll tell you what it's like [hihi]

Yeah i do have 17" rims with stiffened shocks on my E30.

I have spacers which as you said camber the wheels to give a more aggressive look, but i fail to see how this will damage the drivetrain... (any suggestions?)

I will admit the ride comfort is somewhat compromised from the standard 14's. It wont throw your back out, but you do feel the bumps...

From a performance perspective, not that i've ever tracked my car, but from brief encounters with Chesty (14") in a straight line there is no evident difference. [clap]
That said, i'm sure the car handles far better on the smaller rims.

hey guys, thanks for the replys

yer i know, shocking pictures, does the red baron no justice (my nickname for the car, dont ask)

ive seen a VERY nice black bimmer like mine driving around the oakleigh area, with the cambered wheels, perhaps that is yours?

but damn, tracking down a kit for these monsters is a tough job

found one though, $1250 for four flared guard panels, two side skirts, boot lid, boot spoiler, front and rear bumper bars.

very exited [bmwdance]

p.s forgot to mention, its the M3 body kit

Ouch! That's a LOT of mula [hihi]. If it's any consolation my last service (INSPECTION II) was $1,330! I was not happy Jan. It was money i could've spent on a slippy diff, for instance.

Let us know how you get on anyway and perhaps one of these days i can smoke you at the lights. [shake]

Probably not me, I don't remember being out Oakleigh way in my car.

$1250 is a fair whack, but what better to spend your hard earned dollar on than your car !!
Haha, i know that is where most of my money will go! [:D]
