could you support a decision to buy a base '04(no options)red/sandstone if a '02 with premium pkg(30k miles certified)would cost $26K which is less than the base.I am referring to a 325i and cannot find a base for less than $27,8k or so. the only way it may pay is to get ED when the base sedan is then about $26,8. have anyof you ever had that dilemna?

no 2 years old for $2000 is not worth it, ull have to start makin repairs 2 years earler and 2 years less of oil changes and stuff plus 30k miles!!!

also u have to think are u gonna keep teh car for teh cars life, if so then 02 03 04 doesnt matter. but 30k miles is too much

btw if u were gonna go used, 26k for that car is not bad but u can do better

but i know that dilema of finding a new car for a good price.
dealers were askin 60k for a base m3 cab (55k) and my dad found an 01 m3 base no options with 13k miles for 42k and we got it bc its only 13k miles and we run our cars to teh ground so it doesnt matter if its 01 02 03 whatever bc we dont resell it.

If the options are important to you then go for the used one. Some people regret not having features such as memory seats, etc.

If it isn't then go for the new one and not have to worry about how the previous owner treated your car.

Yeah, I think it's a matter of priorities. I have an almost base car and I don't really miss any of the options. Means less stuff to break is how I think of it. My family has a horrible history and experience with used cars and we drive our cars hard so we only buy new so we know how practically all the miles were spent and if the maintenance was done on them.
