Hi. Just got my first BMW, a 330Cic ZHP! I love it except the dealer told me the factory alarm had a motion detector and it didn't (oh! and there is a rattle coming from the passenger side window where it meets the windshield pillar, I figure I'll bring it to the dealer for that once I get the alarm stuff figured out). Anyway, by reading the forums I figured out that a factory alarm with motion detector is availible for the convertible, but it looks like a euro only option. Anyway, searching www.realoem.com it lists the alarm with motion detector as a US option starting 03/04.

but next to the part number () it says "See EBA 0391496" What does EBA stand for? Anyone have access to 'something' that could tell me what the note is?
The dealer said they would swap alarms if BMW said it was ok to do, or they would give me a couple of accessories to make up for the misinformation. I want the alarm. The dealer has been waiting for a response from BMW for a week (so they say). Is this normal? What are my odds of getting the motion detectors?
