Well, the day arrived, picked up my 2005 325I! It is awesome. Now I now what it is like to finally own one! Just a few quick questions for you experienced person(s) out there. What type(octane) should I be using. Second, for the techies, the vehicle came with what I thought would be bluetooth technology. The buttons were on the steering wheel, but when I went to sync it with my phone, it didn't work. The service mangaer gave it a try and still no go. He the noticed that my car was produce in 8/04 and he said that they started putting them in 9/04. So my question is what do I need make my car be bluetooth enabled? Thanks again!

I hate to tell you but the car needs 93 octane! This is mainly because Europe gas is at 97 octane so the car is designed that way. I must admit I have put 87 in my car when the prices went through the roof and I didn't notice any differnece.

ah the good ole octane question. i'd go with what they recommend. i know the 3.0 requires unleaded premium (as it says on the fuel gauge.) but not sure about the 2.5 if you don' thave to put in the better stuff, you don't need to. but premium gases do have their benefits..

put in whatever you want, but now that the gas prices are so high, 10, 20 cent premium isn't all that much more imo.

You put in Premium. Around here, that's 91 octane. You can put in the lower stuff, but you lose power and gas mileage which may offset any cost savings. Plus, the long term effects can't be good.
