No G*damn It No!!

Can it get any better, first of all I manage to buy my bimmer then I manage to smash up my rims and trailing arm, then I get it fixed [clap] . Now it wont start, started leaving work, started to take someone somewhere, started to go see my bird, stated when going to see my mate, started when going to get fuel, started when leaving for home ...then cut out..deado, just wont turn over, no spark whatsoever...

Any advice guys..

Cheers

turns over but wont fire..loads of life in battery, no blown fuses and a full tank of gas
E30's have a tendency to not start sometimes. My e34 does the exact same thing and I've heard it's due to either the fuel system layout or the motronic unit. Sometimes I'd have to sit there and let it crank and crank and crank, sometimes for nearly 10 - 15 seconds or more. It always starts though.

I've NEVER had that problem - knock on wood. Mine always starts immediately.

My 89 did the same thing last week. Cranked but no spark. i let it sit for 3 hours came back started right up. There must me a circuit breaker or someting. I haven't taken the time to trace the wireing. BTY when it would not start my coil did not have any juice to it. Hence no spark.

both my e34's crank and turn over immediatly...

if u're holding the key for more than 5 seconds
something isn't working as it should...

check battery, cap, rotor, distributor

Thats really bad. You probably have a bad fuel pressure regulator, a dying fuel pump, or you have a leak somewhere in your fuel system. On my e30 it was the regulator, easy fix and now it starts up every time.

What wheels do you have? are they bottlecaps or basketweaves?
Neither I got crappy horrid three spokers, they were on the car when I got her, I had planned to change them for decent wheels anyway, just not so soon and not to smash them up before hand.

Is it that you arent getting spark OR are you not getting fuel? I had a similar problem and it turned out that the relay for the injectors wan't being activated at the key switch. I couldn't track it down so I installed a toggle switch to turn on the power to the injectors. Kinda like a race car...........
